Niamh continues to pursue an inter-disciplinary approach in her current research, where her work forms part of two highly collaborative projects investigating the common and distinct mechanisms of mitochondrial bioenergetic dysfunction in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases (www.cebiond.org), and the systems-level network analysis of the effect of miRNAs in epileptogenesis (www.epimirna.eu).
She is also a PI on the PD MitoQUANT grant
